At 12o’clock on November 12 the Festive meeting will take place at the Assembly Hall of the Main Building of the university (Kreutzwaldi 1a). Professor Jukka Ahokas from the University of Helsinki will be conferred the title of Honorary Doctor.
Professor Olav Kärt will give the public academic lecture «Studies and research on animal sciences». Scholarships and Medals of Merit will be awarded. The Deed of the Year 2010 will be announced. Nine PhD students will be awarded Doctor’s degrees.
Music by our male choir «Gaudeamus», and string quartet of the Tartu University Symphony Orchestra. The Festive Assembly will be followed by the Rector’s Reception.
