New master’s programme of Landscape Architecture in English
Eesti Maaülikool, Estonian University of Life Sciences is starting an English-language Master's programme for landscape architecture next academic year.
The English-language programme aims to attract more international postgraduate students who studied landscape architecture for their Bachelor's degree and wish to experience something different.
Since the programme is led by an British professor, Dr Simon Bell (head of the department of landscape architecture), with teaching by a German professor, Friedrich Kuhlmann, large parts have been taught in English for 5 years already. The decision to open full English-language programme was also driven from the university’s policy to improve the international integration.
The entrance requirements are based on the ones for Estonian students and include a Bachelor degree and a portfolio as well as a short exam.
The progamme starts from September 2011, the application deadlines are May 1 for non-EU students and July 1 for EU students.
Prof. Simon Bell is supported by the European Social Fund under the DoRa programme.
