Eight research groups and two individual researchers participate in the work of the Centre of Excellence AgroCropFuture.
The Estonian University of Life Sciences is represented by the Plant biology and plant breeding group headed by professor Ülo Niinemets.
The University of Tartu is represented by six research groups: the Biodiversity informatics and data science group headed by professor Urmas Kõljalg, the Ecosystem functions and services group headed by professor Ülo Mander, the Plant-microbe interactions group headed by professor Mari Moora and co-lead by professor Martin Zobel, the Ecosystem services and biodiversity conservation group headed by professor Meelis Pärtel, the Plant-soil feedbacks group headed by professor Marina Semchenko, the Microbial biodiversity and ecology group headed by professor Leho Tedersoo, and two individuaal researchers: Kessy Abarenkov, Associate Professor in Biodiversity Informatics and Tsipe Aavik, Associate Professor.
The Centre of Estonian Rural Research and Knowledge is represented by the Crop research and breeding group headed by senior researcher Ilmar Tamm.
